Good soil health management is fundamental to sustainable agriculture intensification in Pacific Island Countries and Territories. Improving knowledge on the conservation and management of soil resources is vital, especially in the face of climate change. The Sustainable Agriculture work theme seeks to strengthen its support services on soil health through the harmonization of soil conservation and management guidelines. Services will also involve developing appropriate guidelines for the various farming systems through research and agronomic advice to member countries.
