Details for Policy Brief 8 Benefits of Organic Agriculture

Name:Policy Brief 8 Benefits of Organic Agriculture
Description:Non-communicable diseases such as heart disease and diabetes are the leading cause of deaths in PICTs. Poor diets and consumer preferences for processed and imported food, especially in urban areas, have contributed to this problem. Increasing reliance on imports also makes PICTs vulnerable to global economic events such as escalating food prices, which can lead to food insecurity.
