Varanisese Tawake

Planning, Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Adviser

Varanisese is responsible for providing high-level advice and support on Planning, Evaluation, Monitoring, Accountability, Reflection and Learning (PEARL) and reporting for LRD programmes and projects to enhance LRD’s development effectiveness for better research and development outcomes.

Varanisese has 24 years of professional management experience in both domestic, regional and international contexts, including policy, project and programme development and implementation, establishment and management of teams, and strategic processes. She previously served at the Office of the Prime Minister with the Fijian Government and with the United Nations Resident Coordinators Office in Fiji, serving 14 Pacific Island Countries and Territories and coordinating 26 UN agencies in the Pacific. She is a Fiji national.
