Cocoa project outcomes also include:
- Improved cocoa production in the Pacific through a shift away from seed propagation and towards clonal production of plants.
- Greater understanding of the current roles of women and youth in overall cocoa production from processing to certification
- Greater understanding among Pacific cocoa producers of the importance of quality control, fermentation, drying and marketing, through training in chocolate marketing
- Increased household earnings for cocoa livelihoods due to improved cocoa quality and greater access to high-quality, low-volume markets.
