PARDI – Pacific Agribusiness Research for Development Initiative – commenced in February 2010. The initiative is funded by The Australian Centre for International Agricultural Research (ACIAR) and coordinated by The University of Queensland (UQ).

PARDI seeks to create sustainable livelihood development outcomes for South Pacific agribusiness. PARDI’s unique research model is based on sharing findings and expertise across diverse projects, and ensuring the relevance of research by conducting complimentary market and consumer supply-chain research. Our projects are designed to identify constraints that impede local economic development and achieve tangible solutions, such as new skills for locals, new technologies and product options.

PARDI has a YouTube page with regional film clips on our work. Through YouTube, we speak to farmers, rural women, local communities, business and government representatives about the latest in agribusiness.
